Gay marriage is a topic widely spoken and heard from. The article states how Virginia's ban on gay marriage was struck down by three judge panel of the appeals in Richmond. The ruling was a victory for gay and lesbian couples seeking the right to get married. Even tough some people feel uncomfortable with same sex-marriage, everybody is equal and the U.S should not see gay's, lesbian's, or homosexual's any different as they see "straight couples". This marriage law also affects West Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. A democratic, McAuliffe, feels very happy that the Supreme Court struck down the ban on same sex-marriage because now Virginia is a state that is open and welcoming to all. In 19 U.S states plus the District of Columbia, same sex-marriage is legal: California, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Illinois, Iowa, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Washington state. The tenth amendment contributes to gay marriage because gay marriage is something each state chooses on, whether they want to have gay marriage legal or not is each states decision.

Gay marriage should be equal and people should not judge. The cartoon explains how people do not have to see the difference between sex, they are both equal and they should focus on the fact that they love one another. Same-sex marriage and straight marriage should be both considered equal worldwide. Gay marriage is a highly debuted manner in the U.S because different people have different thought from one another, and sometimes people do not agree with each other. People do not have to be ashamed if they are gay, lesbian, homosexual, or straight. They need to recognize that people will always judge others and they need to remember that there is people that support them. In some peoples eyes, gay marriage and straight marriage has no difference. The tenth amendment gives the right for each state to decide what kind of marriage they wish to consider legal.
